Carnival has introduced an exciting fine dining option for our guests - The Chef's Table. This one-of-a-kind culinary experience includes an exquisite multi-course private dinner hosted by one of the line's master chefs along with a private champagne reception (soft drinks for kids) and a personalized tour of the galley.

With The Chef's Table, a select group of 12-14 guests enjoy champagne and hors d'ouevres hosted by the ship's Chef de Cuisine. The chef then takes the group on a personalized tour to see the galley in operation, providing participants with a unique perspective on Carnival's extensive food and beverage operations.

The evening concludes with a sumptuous full-service dinner with delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts created by the line's master chefs. Depending on the vessel, the meal takes place in non-traditional dining venues throughout the ship - the galley, library, conference center, etc.

The cost is $75 per person. The dinner(s) as well as the dinner date(s) are subject to the number of guests wishing to participate in this experience.

There are currently two Chef's Table Menus being used throughout the Carnival Fleet. The "Old" menu and "New" menu are both posted below. The "New" menu will more than likely be rolled out across the entire Carnival fleet over time. Currently the "New" menu is being used on the Carnival Breeze, Carnival Destiny, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Elation, Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Glory, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Legend, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, & Carnival Sensation. All others Carnival ships are still using the "Old" menu.

The dress code follows the dress code specified for that evening on board; since guests are taken on a personalized tour of the galley, open-toed, heels and shoes with slippery soles are discouraged.

You will also be asked when you start this culinary experience if your party has any special menu requests / food allergies / etc.

Pre-Cruise Reservation Procedures:

  • Option 1 : (fastest response) Prior to the cruise, guests can send an email to Group Event Planning at: groupeventplanning@carnival.com. The subject line should read “Chef’s Table Request” and the email should include the following information:
    • Party Size and Names
    • Ship and Sail Date
    • Booking Number(s) and Cabin Number(s)

  • Option 2: (usually slower) Prior to the cruise, guests can post their request on John Heald's Blog; post "Chef's Table Request" and include the following information:
    • Party Size and Names
    • Ship and Sail Date
    • Booking Number(s) and Cabin Number(s)

    Notes:

    • For Option 1: Group Event Planning will forward the request to the specific ship Maitre d’. The Maitre d’ will then respond directly to the guest on whether they are able to accommodate the request. Once onboard, the guest’s Sail & Sign card will be charged.

    • For Option 2: John or his staff will do the same thing and forward your information on to the specific ship Maitre d’. This option usually takes longer to get a response than using Option 1 above because John and his staff are not always able to forward the information on as quickly as Guest Services is able to.

Onboard Reservation Procedures:

  • Reservations can be arranged on board with the Steakhouse Hostess.

  • On those ships that do not have a Steakhouse (Fantasy-Class/Triumph/Victory), reservations can be arranged on board with your Main Dining Room Maître d'.
