Cappuccino Pie - Recipe


Serves: 8


Ingredients:

  • 1 Graham Pie Shell
  • 1/2 oz Instant Coffee
  • 1/2 oz Hot Black Liquid Coffee
  • 14 oz Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 1/2 oz Semi-sweet Chocolate
  • 1/2 quart Heavy Cream
  • 14 oz Chocolate Syrup

Directions:

  • Take ice cream from freezer and leave at room temperature to soften (about 10 minutes). Pour ice cream in mixing bowl and mix on low speed.
  • Dissolve instant coffee in black coffee add this coffee concentrate to ice cream. Mix with blender on low to medium, until well blended.
  • Spread mixture into pie shell with spatula. Be sure surface is smooth and place into freezer for approximately 1 hour to harden.
  • Shave the semi-sweet chocolate into flakes and set aside.
  • Whip the heavy cream with a wire whisk until firm, spread evenly on top of pie.
  • Sprinkle chocolate flakes over the top of the whipped heavy cream.
  • Before serving pour 1/4 oz of chocolate syrup onto each plate, plate the pie and serve immediately.
