Australia Restart 2021

We have heard that Australia and New Zealand may not reopen for cruisers until mid 2022? Has anything changed there? We have a scheduled cruise reservation in December, 2021. We also read that it is difficult for the citizens to acquire the Covid vaccines. Has there been any changes recently?

From what I’ve heard from people who live there is no not much has changed . There are no cruises till at least November now last I heard . If that happens it will be for citizens only and domestic cruises . We are booked for April 2023 and many don’t think that will happen for non citizens. I hope we both get to go . Have you booked air already? If so make sure you have travel insurance.

It appears at this time most cruise lines have now cancelled Australian cruises through December 17, 2021. This appears to be in anticipation of the Australian government extending it's current cruise ban which currently extends through mid September 2021.
